Sometimes In Life You Only Have One Chance To Win.
Gordon McLeod (Robert Duvall) is the manager of a second tier Scottish soccer team. Faced with pressure from his American owner, he is forced to bring on a marquee player (Ally McCoist) to improve the fortunes of the team. With the new addition to the team's roster, McLeod hopes to prevent his team from being moved from the fiercely loyal town it has known for a century. Along the way, McLeod must battle his own demons, including long-standing tiffs with both his daughter and a former colleague who betrayed him.
