Searching for Wooden Watermelons

Searching for Wooden Watermelons

Set in the small Texas town of Beaumont, this tender drama focuses on a young woman who is forced to make one of life's most difficult decisions. Jude Farnie (Wendy English) is a twenty-five year old college student who still lives at home with her mother and grandmother. Close to receiving yet another degree, Jude finally faces up to the fact that she's remaining in school to avoid starting a life of her very own. The trouble is, Jude is cursed with the ability to see sides from every angle, which keeps her living out the same routine day after day. Directed by Bryan Goldsworthy from a semi-autobiographical script by English, SEARCHING FOR WOODEN WATERMELON paints an honest portrait of a truly conflicted female protagonist.
