An offbeat comedy about one quirky student's obsessive pursuit to win over a teacher's heart. Director and co-writer Wes Anderson (Bottle Rocket) tells the story of Max Fischer (Jason Schwartzman), a precocious 10th grader whose extracurricular activities make him one of the most outgoing students at Rushmore Academy--and its worst student. But Max's only concern is winning the affection of Miss Cross (Olivia Williams), a first grade teacher at the academy. Going to extraordinary lengths, he hatches a scheme aided by steel tycoon Mr. Blume (Bill Murray).
