Gere is Ike Graham, a cynical, big-city newspaper columnist eager to write a tell-all story about Maggie. But the more Ike finds out about skittish Maggie, the more he finds he's falling in love.

Synopsis: A serial marriage-a-phobe ditches one would-be hubby after another, drawing the attention of a New York newspaper columnist suffering writer's block. The subsequent story is a hit, but infuriates the skittish bride who looks to get even only to find he's not quite the man she expected.
