This story of one man's campaign to free his son from a lengthy jail sentence for a crime he didn't commit is based upon a true story. Bobby McLoughlin (Brendan Fraser) is the incorrectly jailed man, framed for a murder he didn't commit. His adopted father, Harold Hohne (Martin Sheen) ,and mother, Mary Hohne (Caroline Kava), stage a monumental campaign to clear Bobby's name, but taking on the legal system that incarcerated his son proves to be a sizeable task for Harold. But the family never lets up in its quest to free their son, leading to a poignant, meaningful film that successfully highlights many of the shortcomings in the judicial system.
