When Li Bao (martial arts master Li Zhang) learns from New York Social Services that a relative has unexpectedly died, he rushes to the Big Apple to become the guardian of her young orphan daughter, Janie. There, "Uncle Li," a 32nd-generation Shaolin Fighting Monk, meets up with a former student who convinces him to open a traditional kung-fu school. But his plans for a new life in a new world collide with those of a brutal promoter and his skilled young fighter. Now Li must choose to flee the city or stand and fight for Janie and his dream in this powerful mixed martial arts action/drama.
